Religious Programs

The Columbia University MSA provides several religious programs to meet the needs of Muslims on campus. Below is information on such religious services and programs available along with information on other religious programs found in New York City:

Prayer Rooms

 

MSA Earl Hall Prayer Room

The MSA Prayer room is located in the lower level of Earl Hall, room 102. In addition to jamaat prayers, students can access the room from 9AM-10PM on weekdays (it is closed on weekends) and obtain the code by asking a board member. Please see the prayer iqama times below:

Nussbaum Prayer Room

Alternatively, students can use the prayer room on the 12th floor of Nussbaum (600 W. 113th St., located at 113th Street and Broadway). In order to gain access to the room, sign in at the front desk and ask the security guard for the key to room 12B2. Please see the prayer iqama times below:

Isha 9:45 PM

 

Jumm’ah Prayers

Jumm’ah prayers are held weekly on Fridays in the upper level of Earl Hall. The khutbah (sermon) takes place at approximately 1:15 to 1:50 PM and the prayer concludes at approximately 2:00.
