Project Nur, the social justice subcommittee of the MSA, strives to channel the resources of Muslims on campus towards community service and social justice. Through tazkiah-al-nafs, we hope to struggle against the injustices of our selves and the injustices of society. As a non-exclusivist student group that strives to channel the resources of Muslims on campus towards community service and social justice, Project Nur encourages you to enroll in their weekly classes regarding self-purification and get involved in community service. Goals of Project Nur
- Provide classes around the topic of purification of the soul for Columbia University students and Harlem community members.
- Provide opportunities for short term community service projects throughout the semester.
- Work on long term community service project with Muslims in the Harlem community for more lasting impact.
