Join the Columbia Muslim Students Association and community in planning your Eid al Adha celebrations! You can find all these details on Facebook as well. We have three events planned for the Muslim community around Morningside Heights:
Date: Monday, October 14th
Time: Maghrib salah (approx. 6:30 PM)
Location: The Hive (located on first floor of Altschul Hall)
Join community members for iftar on Yaum al-Arafah to get a taste of the festivities of the Eid celebrations to come! Make sure to arrive 10-15 minutes before Maghrib salah so that you can break the fast on time in the event of a slight time change of Maghrib salah or sunset.
The Eid Prayer will take place in the James Chapel of the Union Theological Seminary (UTS) from 8:15 AM SHARP (we will start promptly) to 9:15 AM. Cyrus McGoldrick will be leading the Eid prayer and delivering the khutbah. Board members will be leading a group to a MSA-hosted brunch following the Eid Prayer. All are welcome to join!
